A word from OUR FOUNDER - From Me to You, The Story Behind Āe Botanicals
Kia ora, I’m Grace Falwasser, the heart and passion behind Āe Botanicals. I’m an ordinary person, just like you. I’ve had my share of struggles, and for a long time, I moved through life disconnected from my own wellbeing.
I didn’t always respect my body. I took my health for granted. When the warning signs started showing up anxiety, fatigue, physical symptoms I knew I needed to make a change. That was the start of my personal healing journey. I began looking closely at everything what I was putting in my body, how I was living, and what I was putting on my skin.
That journey led me back to the values I was raised with. As a child, I learned about traditional Māori healing from my father. He didn’t teach through textbooks, but through everyday life watching, listening, and connecting with nature. Those teachings became the foundation for Āe.
I started creating products in my small kitchen in Northland, New Zealand, combining what I was learning with the knowledge passed down to me. I wasn’t trying to build a brand I was creating something I needed. Something I believed in.
Āe Botanicals is a collection of clean, effective, multi-use skincare made with active ingredients and native New Zealand botanicals. Everything is vegan, made with sustainability in mind, and created to support the skin without unnecessary steps or waste.
Our green bottles are inspired by pounamu, New Zealand’s most treasured stone, and shaped to reflect strength and connection. Te Reo Māori is woven through the brand to honour my culture and where this journey began.
I didn’t create Āe to follow trends. I created it to help people reconnect with their inner self and with a more thoughtful way of caring for their body.

With an astounding record of 28 international awards, Suzanne has been at the forefront of solving skin problems naturally for nearly four decades. Her passion for sustainability is seen in the multi-use concepts and innovative ways we can look after ourselves and the planet.
Her previous businesses have been built on a focus on the rest in natural products, but also creating a culture that is always growing and learning how to do things better. An environment of constant improvement and agile awareness of the customers needs. Suzanne's extensive global market experience is a priceless asset that she brings to our formulations, ensuring that Āe Botanicals stands out on the world stage. With her guidance, we create products that not only meet the highest standards of quality but also cater to the diverse needs of our global audience.
